The Magical Sound Circus

How does a biscuit tin play the saxophone? Can a pencil dance? And what has belly dancing and flying books got to do with each other?

Nothing is as it seems when the performer/juggler Samuel Gustavsson and musician Sture Ericson invite the young audience into their Magical Sound Circus. Here musical instruments, bodies, furniture and everyday objects change their function magically. It is an intimate and poetic performance which sensuously and without words feeds the imagination.

New Circus
The Magical Sound Circus is based upon Kitt Johnson X-acts New Circus Performance Aber Dabei from 2007 of which the press wrote:

"Gustavsson performs with slapstick and charm. He is a juggler, magician, dancer and clown in a single figure".
Janus Kodal, Politiken

"Elegant is Gustavsson’s play with paper and pen on the desk and in the room and poetic is his loving dance with the books."
Vibeke Wern, Berlingske Tidende

"The soundscapes are created live by Sture Ericson, which in itself is a breathtaking experience when he produces sounds on instruments with a natural way of quirkyness“
Karen Toftegaard, Byen Kalder
