The philosophy behind Body-Mind Centering is founded on an understanding that body and mind are connected and equal expressions of human existence. Objective knowledge about anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics is juxtaposed with the subjective experience of the body. The language of science thus forms a frame of objective knowledge, inside which the intuitive aspect and ”bodily knowledge” of our nature can unfold.
