Through contact with the deep anatomical parts of the body, we can open up to very specific movement qualities, mental states, and not least a rich pool of visual material, which may ultimately lead to a definition of the body's expressivity. That is, a transformation of the body motivated by the body itself. It is particularly interesting to explore the question to which extent the visual material is recognisable from person to person, or is exclusively individual.

This workshop has been developed through Kitt Johnsons work with the theme of Body, Anatomy and Choreography in the years 2003-09. This work has resulted in the following performances: Aortas Partitur, Rankefod, and Palimpsest.

The workshop uses »hands on« Authentic Movement, among other methods, as well as improvisational and compositional work with a focus on the anatomical theme.

Participants must have experience in dance and compositinal work and/or participated in other workshops with Kitt Johnson.

If there are foreign participants, the workshop will be given in English.
