MELLEMRUM Sydhavnen

Copenhagen, Denmark 2014

In 2014 the MELLEMRUM Biennale occupied its last district in the city of Copenhagen: Sydhavnen. The first festival took place in Indre by (Inner City) in 2008, the second edition was in Nørrebro in 2010 and the third in Vesterbro in 2012.

MELLEMRUM Sydhavnen ran over three weeks in May and consisted of 3 very different urban walks, each build around 3 site-specific performances created for selected places in the district by 9 artists or artist collectives, handpicked from the Danish performance, music and visual arts scene.

Participating artists were Lotte Faarup, Hilde Ingeborg Sandvold, Ivan Hansen, Seimi Nørregaard, Edhem Jesenkovic, Mille Maria Dalsgaard/Sydhavn Teater,Zlatko Buric, The Mob / Emma-Cecilila Ajanki & Julia Giertz and Per ”Vers” Uldal.

A larger group of local citizens also participated in the performances along with the artists.

MELLEMRUM Sydhavnen had it’s very own Universe here.
